67-year-old Carolyn Scamahorn of Concord Township has a reason she wants to lose 40 pounds by June -- that's when her 50th high school reunion takes place. She knows it won't take her back to the 98 pounds she weighed when she graduated, but she said it'll give her confidence when she faces her classmates.

Rain & more Rain

This is a very bad week for me as I have 3 different breakfasts for my 3 golf leagues. Yes, I have gained this week, but I did get to golf 18 holes on tuesday. No walking due to the threat of rain every minute of the day. I did dig in the wet dirt wednesday as I had to get my pansies planted. I'm at work now and I have a breakfast in 4 hours at St Denis and one more friday morning. I guess I will be starving myself the remainder of friday for this coming weight-in. I hope everyone else is doing better than I am.

Nothing new

Well its time for my blog, but I have nothing new to report. I can't stand this weather cold and miserable. I can't even get out in my yard and plant my pansies. My weight is at a stand still! Come on Sun, I need you!

What a great day!

It wasn't that warm thursday, but my buddy (Nikki my dog) and I went to my favorite bike path in Concord. We walked a couple of miles on the path and took a side trip down to "Chair Falls". Chair Falls is such a peaceful and calming place to walk too. That's the good part the down side is coming back walking up that hill, but great exercise. By the way we walked for an hour and a half. Went home and dug up my flower beds (good for the waist line). Those pounds are gradually working off or turning to muscle (thanks to Charlene). I am determined I'm going to do it. I can't wait to start walking every day and watch those pounds fly away and I start golf in a little over 2 weeks. I also cleaned my golf clubs today.

I will be working all weekend and I hope to get back to my yard and get those flower beds done! For now, I'm off to see the Wizzard.

I blew it!

I blew it this weekend. Worked all weekend except Sunday. Planned on walking sunday, but had an emergency in my laundry room, which took several hours. The rest of the day was devoted to "The Masters", which was very exciting this year, even though my guy didn't win he made a good showing for his age (Freddie Couples) and he's still #1 in my book. By blowing it I had a beer, steak, baked potatoe (loaded with sour cream) shrimp, salad. I also sneaked 3 chocolate chip cookies.

That was yesterday! Today I'm back on track. Worked in the yard for 2 hours and I'm back on my Yougart, Salad and Jello with no sugar. If it's not raining tomorrow, I'll be going on my walk with my dog and joining Charlene for my grueling work out.

Apr 4th

Sorry I didn't blog last week but I went out of town this weekend and I was very excited about using a new GPS. I ate a lot of food this weekend, but I think falling off the wagon saturday didn't really harm anything. I'm back on the wagon today. Since I have been working out with Charlene I think my fat is turning to muscle. I do with the weather would change so I can start my walking again (not that the rain deters me, but my dog doesn't appreciate the rain). Look out guys when I start walking and playing golf 3 times a week, those pounds are going to fall off. I have 22 pounds to go or 7.33 pounds per month.
